Platform requirements

Hardware:

  • 500,000 bytes of free disk space for the source files and documentation
  • 50,000 bytes of free disk space for compiled core modules (depending on the compiler and target machine)

Software: a compiler for ANSI C

Installation instructions

  1. Unzip the downloadable file to a suitable directory. The resulting files include the documentation (in Adobe Acrobat® PDF® format), a "readme" file, the alphaWorks® license, and the C source and header files for the library, including the source files for the examples in the documentation.
  2. Verify installation by compiling and linking the modules and example1.c and by ensuring that the command example1 1.23 1.27 displays the result 1.23 + 1.27 => 2.50 (see readme.txt).
