1. Tell me more about IBM® Network Authentication Service.

IBM Network Authentication Service Version 1.4 is based on the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) Request for Comment (RFC) 1510 standards protocol for the Kerberos Version 5 Network Authentication Service.

2. Where can I obtain IBM Network Authentication Service?

For DB2® customers, IBM Network Authentication Service 1.4 for Solaris, Linux®, and AIX® is available from the DB2 Web site. For AIX customers, IBM Network Authentication Service 1.4 is available in the AIX 5.2 and 5.3 expansion pack CD. For Tivoli® customers, IBM Network Authentication Service 1.4 for Windows is available with IBM ITDS 6.1 for Windows®. If you are not able to locate the IBM Network Authentication Service package, please contact your local IBM representative.

AIX, AIX NFS 4, DB2 UDB, IBM Tivoli Directory Server, and IBM Tivoli Access Manager.

5. Is this GUI a replacement for the "kadmin" utility?

It's a substitute for the kadmin command line utility for administrators who prefer GUI.

Yes. You must first configure the IBM Network Authentication Service client to the MIT KDC.

7. My GUI is not showing up in the UNIX environment.

Make sure your DISPLAY environment variable points to the correct X Windows System display server.
