Platform requirements

Screen reader users:

• Operating systems: Windows® XP
• Software:
  • Internet Explorer (6.0 or above)
  • JAWS screen reader (Version 9 or above for English and Version 8 or above for Japanese)
  • Adobe® Flash Player (Version 8 or above)

Accessibility metadata authors (supporters):

• Operating systems: Windows XP (recommended)
• Software: FireFox 2

Installation instructions (for the screen reader extensions)

1. Please make sure that your screen reader is supported.
2. Register and sign in to the service.
3. Download the installer.
4. Run the installer.
5. Follow the instructions in the wizard dialog box.
6. Check your installation by pressing the Control and Period keys. If the extension is correctly installed, you will hear a "ping" sound and see the message user script loaded. If you hear a "dong" sound and see the message cannot connect to server, please check your network connectivity. If nothing at all happens, please restart both JAWS and Internet Explorer and try again.
