Platform requirements
Operating systems: Red Hat Linux 8.0, RedHat Linux 9.0, RedHat Enterprise Linux 3, Fedora Core 2, and Fedora Core 3
Hardware:
- x86 machines with a minimum of 3 GB of available hard disk space for installing the core simulator files and rootdisk image
- RAM: The minimum amount of RAM must equal twice the amount of simulated memory. For example, if the simulator is simulating a system with 256 MB of RAM, the host system must have at least 512 MB of RAM.
Installation instructions
- Installation media for the simulator is available for a number of host Linux platforms. Download the installation package that is compatible with the version of Linux that you are running on your host system.
- In order to install and run the simulator, please extract files from the package and follow the instructions provided in the SystemSim_Installation.pdf document.
