Platform requirements

Operating systems: Linux® (Kernel 2.6 or above) or Windows® (2000, XP, or Vista)

Hardware:

Software: either Firefox 2.0 or above, or Internet Explorer 6 or above

Installation instructions

The development environment consists of a small embedded application server and a browser-based user interface. Everything you need in order to run the server is included in the download. Just follow the instructions for your operating system below.

Windows:

  1. Download the zip file SystemText-0.2.0-ext-win-i386.zip and unzip it into a local directory on your hard drive.
  2. Double-click on the batch file SystemText-0.2.0/bin/startserver.bat to start the application server.
  3. Open a Web browser (Firefox is preferred, but Internet Explorer also works), and navigate to the following URL: http://localhost:8083/aql

Linux:

  1. Download the archive file SystemText-0.2.0-ext-linux-i386.tgz and untar it into a directory on your hard drive.
  2. Open a terminal window, and run the script SystemText-0.2.0/bin/startserver.sh in order to start the application server.
  3. Launch Firefox and navigate to the following URL: http://localhost:8083/aql
