New version contains extension points for enabling seamless addition of future capabilities.
What is IBM Workplace Server Performance and Health Monitor?
This application enables users to monitor an IBM Workplace™ Collaboration server or an IBM Workplace Services Express server. This monitor uses the Workplace Toolkit APIs to periodically generate a set of transactions and record the success or failure of those transactions along with the response times. In the case of a failure, an e-mail notification is sent. The user interface provides control of the monitor as well as the ability to view the results.
How does it work? The Workplace Performance and Health Monitor is a J2EE application that one installs and runs on the Workplace server that is to be monitored.
The application monitors the following Workplace components, if they are available on the Workplace server:
- calendar
- discussion team space
- document library
- messaging
- Web conference.
