IBM XQuery Whiteboard for DB2

A graphical tool that extends the XQuery capabilities in IBM DB2 Version 9.1 for Linux, UNIX, and Windows.

Installation instructions

  1. Download the open source components listed above.
  2. Make sure that the following JAR and zip files are in your class path:
    • XQueryWhiteboard.jar (provided in this download)
    • db2jcc.jar (from DB2 9)
    • db2jcc_license_cu.jar (from DB2 9)
    • xquery.zip (XPath 2.0/XQuery 1.0 Parser)
    • xquery-update.zip (XQuery Update Facility 1.0 Parser)
    Note: The xquery.zip file is needed if you will be connecting to a DB2 9.1 database. The xquery-update.zip file is needed if you will be connecting to a DB2 9.5 database. Both can be included in your class path if you will be connecting to both DB2 9.1 and DB2 9.5 databases.
  3. Set the following properties when XQuery Whiteboard is started:
    • XQueryWhiteboard.jdbcDriver: the package name of the DB2 jcc driver. If this property is not provided, then the following value is used: com.ibm.db2.jcc.DB2Driver
    • XQueryWhiteboard.jdbcURL: the JDBC URL that identifies a DB2 database, for example: jdbc:db2://localhost:50000/Test1
    • XQueryWhiteboard.jdbcUserName: the user name necessary for accessing the DB2 database.
    • XQueryWhiteboard.jdbcPassword: the password necessary for accessing the DB2 database.
